Delhi court sends Yasin Malik to NIA custody till April 22

New Delhi, April 10 (KMS): A Delhi court, today, sent the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, into the custody of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) till April 22 in the name of interrogation in a fake case registered against him.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was produced before special judge, Rakesh Syal, where the NIA arrested him inside the courtroom and sought 15-day custodial interrogation.

The proceedings in the case were heard in camera.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was shifted to Delhi’s Tihar Jail on Tuesday after the NIA secured his production remand in the case.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik by the NIA showed the sick mentality of Indian state.

Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir in a statement also denounced the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik by NIA and summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to New Delhi in the name of questioning at NIA headquarters.
