New Delhi, April 12 (KMS): The National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM), a group of civil and human rights organisations in India, has demanded immediate withdrawal of ban on two-day civilian traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway.

The NAPM in a statement issued in New Delhi said ban on civilian traffic on the highway for two days reaffirmed the suspicion that BJP-led government is ideologically attracted to the shameful policies of Israel with regard to Palestine. »

Killing of student by Indian troops strongly denounced

Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, have said that India is using its investigating agencies as a weapon of war to suppress the Kashmiri people in general and Hurriyat leaders and activists in particular.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar, today, strongly condemned the notice issued by India’s Enforcement Directorate to minor daughters of illegally detained senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, arrest of JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, by National Investigation Agency and shifting him to Delhi’s Tihar jail, repeated quizzing of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and shifting of leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and other religious organizations to jails outside the valley. He said that the muscular tactics by New Delhi would strengthen the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom. »

Srinagar, April 12 (KM): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested at least five youth during nocturnal raids in Pulwama district.

The police raided several houses in Tahab and its adjoining areas in the district and arrested the youth, Tariq Ahmed Mir, Suhail Ahmed Wani, Aasif Ahmed Rathar, Nasir Nazir and Naseer Ahmed Wani. »

Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Parwan-e-Wilayet has termed the so-called Indian parliamentary elections in the territory as a useless exercise, saying the sham elections are no substitute to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

New Delhi April 12 (KMS): An associate of illegally detained Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi, arrested in a fake case of waging war against India, opposed in a Delhi court the Indian National Investigation’s plea for recording her voice sample for their probe.

Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has directed the authorities of Udhampur Jail to provide all medical facilities to illegally detained Hurriyat leader and the President of Muslim Deeni Mahaz, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo.

The directive was passed to the jail Superintendent to take necessary steps in this regard and ensure proper medical facilities to the detained leader. »

Srinagar, April 12 (KM): In occupied Kashmir, several people were injured when Indian troops and police used brute force on protesters in Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora districts.

Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells on protesters in Sopore, Bomai, Palhalan, Hampora, Baigpora, Kralagun, Hajin, Nadi Khai, Lankarshipora, Sadarkote, Pazalpora, Chack Reshipora, Baharabad and other areas of the districts, injuring several of them including a 12th class student, Yasin Ahmad Butt. The Indian troops also barged into the houses and ransacked the household goods in Hajin and Hampora Langate areas. »
