Indian troops killed 13-year-old boy in target firing: Locals » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, locals of Mandigam area of Kupwara district have said that the troops of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed the 13-year-old boy, Owais Ahmed Mir, in target firing.

Owais Ahmed Mir, a 7th class student, was killed when the CRPF troops opened fire in Mandigam on Thursday.

“There were 2 to 4 children in number. Don’t these Indian forces personnel have their own kids that they killed this innocent 13-year-old boy, who was studying in 7th standard, in target fire?” an elderly person flanked by a group of villagers told media men.

“While Owais was being taken to Handwara hospital, the troops stopped and he died on the way to Kralgund hospital where he was referred,” he said. If the authorities continue to show the cold response and if they want to continue with the genocide policy, they should find some short method to kill all Kashmiris instead of such painful incidents, he added.

The locals demanded a magisterial inquiry into the cold-blooded murder of the student to bring the truth to fore.
