Protests in Baramulla against thrashing of youth by army » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protests erupted in Laser area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district after Indian Army soldiers thrashed two youth for not casting votes in the so-called Indian Parliamentary elections.

Eyewitness said that a large number of people of Laser took to the streets, today, and staged a protest against the Indian Army for thrashing two boys, Bilal Ahmed Rathar and Tariq Ahmed Rather. Both were shifted to a hospital.

Locals said that the army soldiers stopped the vehicle of the youth, checked their fingers and questioned them why they didn’t cast vote in elections. They started beating them resulting in injuries to them.

This triggered protest and local people blocked the Baramulla Kupwara road. The protest was going on when this report was filled.
