Srinagar, April 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement has said that its 22 activists have been arrested by Indian police in Central Kashmir in connection with the sham Indian parliamentary elections.

A JKSM spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that more than a dozen activists were detained by the Indian police in North Kashmir as well. Five of JKSM activists have been booked under draconian law, Public Safety Act, the statement added.

The spokesman said that shifting pro-freedom and religious leaders outside the occupied territory was an undemocratic and inhuman act. He said that these kinds of steps would yield nothing for India nor would help it to suppress the ongoing freedom movement in Kashmir.
