Srinagar, April 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has expressed deep shock over the death of a cancer patient, Abdul Qayoom Banday from Doda, due to the closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway for civilian traffic.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar also condemned the thrashing of a magistrate along with his employees by the Indian troops on the highway. “The ban on the civilian movement on the highway is highly condemnable and speaks volumes of lawlessness which is prevailing in Kashmir.”

Sehrai said it is literally lawlessness like situation going on in Kashmir where critical patients and ambulances are not allowed to move freely and the situation has gone to the extent where sub-divisional magistrate is being roughed up by army personnel apart from civilian thrashings. He said such behavior has become a norm as the same is committed with full impunity.
