Says NIA handed Malik half dead to Delhi police

Srinagar, April 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmiri human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has expressed fear that ailing Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik could be assassinated in the present circumstances.

Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement issued in Srinagar while giving details of the events that unfolded since Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested, said he was given into the custody of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency till April 22, but his condition worsened after he was subjected to physical torture during the custody.

“So NIA shifted him to hospital on 20th and got remand from judge,” he said and added that he was on hunger strike against why he was shifted from Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu, to Tihar jail in New Delhi when he was arrested under Public Safety Act. “Presently he is in hospital in serious condition under the supervision of Delhi police. “NIA left him half dead and handed him over to Delhi police,” he added.
