NIA summons Syed Ali Gilani’s grandson now
Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has appealed to the international community and the world human rights organizations to prevail upon India to stop its revengeful policy against the Kashmiri people.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India had waged a war against the Kashmiris on every front. He said daily killings in the name of operation all-out have put every conscious individual within the firing range of coercive measures. However, he pointed out that despite using its military might, New Delhi would fail to crush the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for their right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission, today, issued notices to the authorities on the illegal detention of JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Following a petition filed before the commission by human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, the rights body issued the notice to the Chief Secretary and the Director General of police in occupied Kashmir asking them to submit a detailed compliance report regarding Yasin Malik’s detention. »

Islamabad, April 24 (KMS): Kashmiri representative, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, has said that the longstanding conflict over Jammu and Kashmir has jeopardized the peace, prosperity and development of the entire South Asia besides bringing death and destruction in occupied Kashmir.

Professor Shawl who also heads the UK-based South Asia Centre for Peace and Human Rights (SACFPHR) said this while addressing a press conference in Islamabad, today. The press conference was organized by SACFPHR with the support of all the international partners International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM), International Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), International Muslim Women’s Union (IMWU), and Kashmir Youth Assembly (KYA). The event was held to highlight the designs of Hindutva forces in occupied Kashmir. »

New Delhi, April 24 (KMS): India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani’s grandson, Anees-ul-Islam Shah, for questioning.

Anees-ul-Islam Shah is a son of illegally detained APHC leader, Altaf Ahmed Shah.

The NIA has asked Anees to appear for questioning at its headquarters in New Delhi on April 29.

His father Altaf Ahmed Shah was arrested by the NIA in 2017 along with several other Hurriyat leaders in a false case registered against them. He is presently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has praised the steadfastness of the Kashmiris in the ongoing freedom movement.

A DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that determination of the Kashmiri people had produced devoted leaders like Shabbir Ahmed Shah who were the victims of political vengeance by New Delhi.

He said that the people of Kashmir had time and again exhibited that oppression, suppression and tyranny could not subdue their political sentiment. India is using its military power blindly to silence the people of Kashmir but whenever they get a chance of showing their anger against New Delhi, they do not waste it, he added. »

Islamabad, April 24 (KMS): APHC AJK chapter has said that the people of Kashmir are offering sacrifices for the right to self determination and not for fraudulent elections.

The APHC-AJK at its meeting in Islamabad, today, said that the so-called elections in occupied Kashmir were illegal, immoral and in violation of the UN resolutions, said a press release issued by the APHC-AJK. The meeting was chaired by its Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani. »

Srinagar, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, has paid glowing tributes to the founding leader of Muslim Conference, Shaheed Ashiq Hussain Khan, on his 9th martyrdom anniversary.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said martyr Ashiq Hussain was a dedicated and brave freedom-fighter with strong conviction for freedom. He was active not only on political front but was also a sincere and selfless social worker, he said. »

New Delhi, April 24 (KMS): A Delhi court on Wednesday sent the ailing Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, to judicial custody till May 24.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was brought to New Delhi after a court in occupied Kashmir granted his transit remand to India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA). The court had sent him to the NIA custody.

Additional Sessions Judge, Rakesh Syal, sought a reply from the defence counsel on a plea of the authorities of Delhi’s Tihar Jail seeking to produce Muhammad Yasin Malik through video conference due to security concerns.

Jammu, April 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dead body of a Muslim youth was found under mysterious circumstances in Bhaderwah area of Jammu region, today.

The deceased has been identified as Asif Khan, a resident of Chinote area of Bhaderwah. His body was found near Information Office building at Pasri bus stand in Bhaderwah town, this morning.

It is worth mentioning here that bodies of Muslim youth are frequently found in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu region under mysterious conditions.

It is feared that Hindu extremist organizations, Indian armed forces and so-called village defense committees are targeting Muslim youth of the region under a plan.

New Delhi, April 24 (KMS): Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Wednesday said he is tired of listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi “beat his own trumpet on what he did to Pakistan” and asserted that people also want to hear him speak about issues such as demonetisation and hate speeches.

P Chidambaram in a twitter message also wondered whether the prime minister will speak on top issues concerning the people before campaign ends. »
