Thousands attend funeral prayers

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth including a scholar of Physiotherapy, Burhan-ud-Din Ganai, in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district, today.

Burhan-ud-Din Ganai and another youth, Safdar Amin, were martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation at Bagender Mohalla in Bijbehara.

Meanwhile, flouting restrictions thousands of people including women and children participated in the funerals of the martyrs, Burhan and Safdar Amin in S K Colony and Bijbehara areas of Islamabad district, today. Following multiple funerals, the martyrs were laid to rest amid high-pitched pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. »

Muzaffarabad, April 25 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Hurriyat leaders have said that anti-Muslim policies of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi are a challenge for world conscious and a threat to global peace.

Hurriyat leaders addressing a function held in connection with the 30th Foundation Day of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) at a local hotel stressed the need to raise voice against Indian state terrorism in Kashmir. They said Pakistan is not only the pleader of Kashmir dispute but also a party to it. »

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that the health condition of illegally detained party leader, Fehmeeda Sofi has worsened to the alarming level inside infamous Tihar jail, New Delhi.

The DeM spokesperson, Rifat Fatima in a statement in Srinagar said Fehmeeda, who is also the principal secretary to DeM Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, is suffering from different diseases inside the jail.

She said Fehmeeda, who is only 30 years old, is also suffering from joint ailment usually found in elderly people. “The only reason for this is that the jail authorities are denying them proper healthcare facility and the required medicines,” she added. »

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, today, visited the residence of illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, at Maisuma in Srinagar and expressed solidarity with his family members.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, accompanied by Hurriyat leader Bilal Ghani Lone, met Yasin Malik’s family members including his mother and sister and enquired about their wellbeing. »

Dr Burhan-ud-Din Ganai and another youth Safdar Amin were martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation at Bagender Mohalla in Bijbehara.

A police official talking to media men said that the youth were militants and were killed in an encounter with the troops. He said that the bodies of the youth were retrieved from the site of clash. “Further search in the area is going on,” the police official added. »

New Delhi, April 25 (KMS): The illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that concocted cases and prolonged detentions cannot break his resolve and he will keep striving for freedom till his last breath.

A JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar after Yasin Malik was presented before a special court of India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi said that party chairman was shifted back to Tihar Jail after court hearing. »

Srinagar, April 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India’s Enforcement Directorate issued a second summons to the 19-year-old daughter of illegally detained senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in connection with a fake case registered in 2005.

Sama Shabbir, who is studying law in Manchester, United Kingdom, was sent summons at her home in Srinagar. The first date for her to appear before the ED was April 18 and the second was April 24. »
