Shutdown on sham Indian polls tomorrow

Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has reiterated his appeal for complete boycott of the fourth phase of the so-called Indian Parliamentary elections, tomorrow.

Complete shutdown will also be observed in Kulgam district on the second leg of the three-phased parliamentary election drama on Islamabad’s Lok Sabha seat on the day. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the boycott would send a message to the world that the people of Jammu and Kashmir wanted to get rid of the forcible Indian occupation of their motherland. He said any election process, India tries to conduct, is nothing but an armed drill aimed at strengthening its illegal control on the occupied territory. However, he said successful poll boycott had frustrated the Indian leadership, which could be well read from the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches. »

Jammu, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, as part of the biannual ‘Darbar Move’ all offices, including the Governor House, closed in Jammu and will reopen in the summer capital Srinagar on May 6.

The ‘darbar move’ was started by the then Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1872 to escape the extreme heat during summers in Jammu and biting cold of winters in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has expressed concern over ill-treatment meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners in jails.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Kashmiri detainees are being punished for their political belief and legitimate political rights. It is unfortunate that despite frequent appeals none of rights organizations has visited jails in Kashmir and India where Kashmiri prisoners are lodged in dismal and pathetic conditions, he added. »

Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has reiterated the call for complete election boycott and shutdown tomorrow (Monday) in Kulgam district.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “By observing a boycott we can peacefully and meaningfully once again highlight the Kashmir dispute at international level that the people of Kashmir want settlement of the long pending dispute.” »

‘Poll boycott has frustrated Indian leadership’

Srinagar, April 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has hit out at Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his anti-Kashmir remarks saying that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and can’t be changed by such false and arrogant statements.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed Narendra Modi’s ‘Kashmir is an integral part of India’ remarks as a cruel joke. “Indian Prime Minister is absolutely ignorant about the history. He should shun ego and stubbornness, and accept the ground realities and come forward to address this basic issue according to the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Gilani said. »
