Srinagar, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Federation of Chambers of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) has said that Kashmir economy is on the decline due to frequent closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway and regulations on the movement of transport.

The FCIK President, Muhammad Ashraf Mir, in a statement in Srinagar said the Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only operational road link of Kashmir to the rest of the world, is either closed or regulated and the movement of goods and passengers is not among the priorities of the occupation authorities. »

Jammu, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has paid rich tributes to prominent religious scholar and renowned social activist, Molvi Ghulam Nabi Faridabadi, who passed away recently.

The JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, addressing a condolence meeting held by his party in Jammu for the deceased said that Molvi Ghulam Nabi Faridabadi was a true Muslim who had devoted his life for the service of Islam and Kashmir liberation movement. He said that Indian troops had also martyred his two young sons in 1990s. »

Srinagar, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two persons, including a minor girl, were killed while nine others injured in a road accident in Gurez area of Bandipora district, today.

A vehicle plunged into Zadkhus Nallah on Bandipora-Gurez road today morning, resulting in the killing of Naani Begum (55) and Tabasum Bashir (10), an official said. The ill-fated vehicle was going to Gurez from Bandipora.

As per reports, Naani Begum died on way to the District Hospital, Bandipora, while Tabasum died on the spot. The injured persons were shifted to the district hospital for treatment.

India using NIA, ED to intimidate Hurriyat leaders

Srinagar, April 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has rejected the Indian Prime Minister, Narinder Modi’s statement that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, terming it a cruel joke and unrealistic.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said the issue of Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and it can’t be changed by these false and arrogant assertions. He said that Kashmir had never been a part of India whereas the fact of the matter was that it was illegally occupied by Indian through military power on 27th October, 1947. He advised the Indian rulers to shun their stubbornness, accept the ground realities and come forward to address the lingering dispute according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.The APHC Chairman also appealed to the people of South Kashmir to completely boycott the fourth phase of the so-called Indian Parliamentary elections to be held on Monday.

Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement in Srinagar said that New Delhi was using its National Investigation Agency and Enforcement Directorate as a tool to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement and force the Hurriyat leadership into submission. He condemned the continued illegal detention of JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, the ED notice to the daughter of incarcerated senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and NIA summons to another jailed Hurriyat leader, Altaf Ahmed Shah’s son. »

Shutdown in Islamabad district against killing of youth

Srinagar, April 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has deplored that the Indian rulers have launched a character assassination campaign against the Hurriyat leadership through their investigating agencies like National Investigation Agency and Enforcement Directorate.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the issuance of series of notices to the Hurriyat leaders and their family members including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah’s daughter Sama Shabbir, and his own sons Dr Nayeem Gilani, Dr Naseem Gilani and grandson Anees-ul-Islam. He condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners in jails. He appealed to the world human rights bodies to send their teams to visit jails in India and occupied Kashmir and take stock of the miserable plight of the Kashmiri detainees. »

Srinagar, April 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the President of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Professor Ghulam Muhammad Butt Madni, and Nazim-e-Aala, Dr Abdul Latif Al-Kandi have expressed concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party’s Vice President, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri, and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Professor Ghulam Muhammad Butt Madni and Dr Abdul Latif Al-Kandi in a statement issued in Srinagar said the mother of Maulana Veeri has been suffering from heart disease and cannot afford a long travel to meet her only son. They said that Maulana should be released forthwith. »
