Protesters subjected to force in Shopian, over 20 injured » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, May 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, more than twenty persons were injured due to the use of brute force on peaceful protesters in Shopian district, today.

People took to the streets in Adkhara area of the district, today, to protest against the killing of three youth by Indian troops. Indian police and troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering intense clashes between the demonstrators and the forces’ personnel.

More than twenty persons sustained injuries in brutal actions of the forces. Three of the injured were referred to Srinagar hospitals for specialised treatment.
