Srinagar, May 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has paid glowing tributes the three youth, Lateef Ahmed, Tariq Ahmed and Shariq Ahmed, martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, today.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said the pain of losing loved ones can well be felt by the Kashmiri people who see the dance of death and who shoulder the coffins of their loved ones almost every day for the political and basic rights.

He condoled with the bereaved families and added that the lingering Kashmir dispute was where it has always been – unresolved and causing great harm, suffering and cost to all. “Today, all of us continue to be held hostage to Indian arrogance and aggression,” he deplored.

Ashraf Sehrai said the precious human blood is being spilled in Kashmir daily. “Everyday people are getting killed and becoming target of the unresolved Kashmir dispute, which is extremely painful. Kashmir conflict, one of the oldest pending disputes in the world, is continuously leaving behind tragic stories, wails and screams. Unfortunately, the international community, is also turning deaf ears towards the Kashmir dispute which otherwise can raise questions on the brazen human rights violations in Kashmir,” he said.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman said that Kashmiri people had always sought a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per their wishes, but India was adamant that it would settle the dispute through military might by suppressing the voice of Kashmiris people for their internationally recognized and legitimate rights. “We want an end to the ongoing bloodshed and do not want to see our children die in a bloody conflict. We want this dispute to be resolved peacefully because we are losing a 4th generation to this political issue,” he maintained.

The Jammu and Kashmir Tanzeem-e-Azadi spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar also paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred in Shopian, today. He said that the innocent Kashmiris were being mercilessly killed by the Indian troops on daily basis.

The spokesman said that India had been using its brutal tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement for the past several decades but failed to succeed in its nefarious designs. He also condemned the arrest spree unleashed by the Indian forces in Pulwama and Shopian districts of south Kashmir ahead of the so-called Indian parliamentary elections to be held on Monday in the two districts.
