Srinagar, May 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, visited Dogripora area of Pulwama and expressed solidarity with the family members of prominent martyred freedom activist, Muhammad Lateef Dar.
Indian troops had martyred Muhammad Lateef Dar along with and his two colleagues during a cordon and search operation in Imam Sahib area of Shopian district last Friday. Lateef Dar was a close associate of prominent martyred youth leader, Burhan Wani, whose extrajudicial killing on July 08, 2016 in Kokernag area of Islamabad district had triggered the ongoing mass uprising in the occupied territory.
Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi while speaking in a condolence meeting in the home of Lateef Dar paid glowing tributes to him and his associates. He also expressed his condolence, solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir led by its District President Srinagar, Rafiq Ahmed Owasi, visited the SMHS hospital in Srinagar to enquire about the health of the people who sustained injuries due to the use of brute force by Indian troops on peaceful protesters in Pulwama and Shopian following the killing of Lateef Dar and his associates. The delegation members prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
