New mosque along Kashmir highway to shelter passengers » Kashmir Media Service

Jammu, May 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, apathy of Indian authorities to the miseries of passengers on Srinagar-Jammu highway has forced the dwellers around the highway to do something on their own to mitigate the sufferings of the passengers, every now and then.

The members of Masjid Allah-U-Akbar committee on Wednesday sought donations for the purchase of a piece of land in the Jammu region of the highway for construction of a mosque to shelter passengers during the road closure. The land has cost around Rs 350,000.

The committee members said that during the highway closure in winters at least four thousand passengers will be adjusted in the mosque. They appealed people to contribute for the construction of the mosque.
