NIA probing 31 cases in occupied Kashmir: report » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered at least 31 false cases in occupied Kashmir since 2011, says a report.

The report by Srinagar-based English daily, Rising Kashmir said that of these 31 cases, the highest 13 cases were registered in 2018.

This year NIA has so far registered four cases in occupied Kashmir. Of the four cases, three were registered at NIA police station, Jammu, and another at NIA headquarters, New Delhi, it said.

Among the three cases, the report said, the NIA, Jammu, is probing the February 14 incident at Lethpora in Pulwama in which 40 CRPF men were killed and other two cases under investigation at NIA, Jammu, are the car blast at Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway and arrest of four persons along with two AK Rifles/ Arms and drugs at Karnah in Kupwara.

While the fourth case registered at NIA headquarters in New Delhi pertains to criminal conspiracy of waging war against India, it added.

The reports said in 2018, the NIA registered 13 cases related to the territory and one of them pertains to woman Hurriyat leader, Aasiya Andrabi.

The NIA registered six cases in 2016. In 2015, the NIA registered a case on attack on BSF convoy on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Udhampur. It registered three cases in 2011.
