Troops launch CASO in Bijbehara

Srinagar, May 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Satipora area of the district.

A joint team of the army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group and Central Reserve Police Force conducted the operation.

The martyred youth have been identified as Basharat Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad.

Media reports quoting police said that Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Khasipora, was a former Special Police Officer, who fled along with his service rifle from Pakherpora Police Post, on 26th April, last year.

The authorities snapped the Internet services in the southern district.

Meanwhile, Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hugam Srigufwara village in Bijbehara area of southern Kashmir’s Islamabad district. A joint team of army’s 55 RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Lone Pora, Hugam village and conducted searches, an official said. However, the search operation was called off after nothing was found.
