Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, another incident of rape of a girl surfaced in Ganderbal district, today.

The incident came to fore on Tuesday after Ganderbal police arrested a person over allegations of committing rape of a 16-year-old girl in Ganderbal.

The victim girl narrated her ordeal to her parents after which they lodged a complaint against the accused at Ganderbal police station. Police officials said that the accused had been arrested and investigation was going on.

Pertinently, few days ago a minor girl was also raped in Sumbal area of Bandipore district which triggered massive protests across the occupied territory.

The analysts and political observers in occupied Kashmir while talking to media cited the various reasons behind growing incidents of heinous and inhuman crimes like rape. They said that huge presence of personnel of Indian army, paramilitary forces and agencies and fear psychosis created by the Indian forces’ cordon and search operations were the contributing factors to these crimes in Kashmir.

The observers added that the Kashmir was under presidential rule and the entire territory had been turned into the military camp and people were under siege.
