Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has criticized India for not allowing the International Committee of Red Cross, Amnesty International and other human rights organizations to visit the Indian jails to observe for themselves the pathetic condition of Kashmiri political prisoners.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar asked India to shun its stubbornness and appealed to two nuclear countries, Pakistan and India, to turn a new leaf in their bilateral relations to sit together along with the people of Kashmir and resolve Kashmir issue peacefully in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Without any hearing on the fixed dates, new dates at long intervals are fixed to add ordeal to the accused prisoners. There are hundreds of instances where, bail, detenue’s basic right is also denied for years together. Life imprisonment on the basis of political vendetta has become a routine matter in Jammu and Kashmir.
