Glowing tributes paid to Molvi Yousuf Shah on his anniversary » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, May 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has paid glowing tributes to Muhajir-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Molvi Yousuf Shah, on his 52nd death anniversary.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a public gathering at Aali Masjid at Eidgah in Srinagar highlighted the role and great contribution of Molvi Yousuf Shah on social, moral, educational and religious and political fronts.

He said that Mujahir-e-Milat put in all-out efforts during his lifetime to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the global level. He said the translation and commentary of holy Quran in Kashmiri language by Molvi Yousuf Shah helped put Kashmir on the global Islamic map and earned him great respect in the Muslim world.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the battle of Badr, stating that the great companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) despite being less in number fought against the enemy to keep the Islamic flag high and that their priceless sacrifices will always be remembered.
