Police abuse, thrash journalist in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces’ personnel went berserk and damaged many houses and shops in Srinagar district.

The forces’ personnel while unleashing a reign of terror entered Manchowa and Kralpora areas in the outskirts of Srinagar and smashed and damaged what came in their way, the residents said.

“Look what kind of damage the forces did. Neither here in Kralpora was any law and order problem nor was any stone pelting, even then a posse of Indian police came and let loose a reign of terror, damaging houses and shops,” a local woman complained.

The forces are themselves vitiating the atmosphere, a woman said and demanded stern action against the personnel including the Station House Officer (SHO) responsible for vandalizing property in the area.
