Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Young Men’s League led by its chairman, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, visited Shopian to express solidarity with the family members of rape and murder victims, Aasiya and Nilofar in connection with the anniversary of the tragedy.
The delegation offered fateha for the victim women. Imtiaz Reshi who was accompanied by party leader Shakeelur Rehman on the occasion said the sacrifices offered by Aasiya and Nilofar would not be allowed to go in vein.
He said India is using rape as an instrument to crush freedom sentiment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Shopian incident was a grave crime and urged the United Nations to probe it through a tribunal and punish the Indian troops involved in the heinous crime.
Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement also expressed condolences with the family members of Aasiya and Nilofar. The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement also remembered the innocent victims of Indian state terrorism.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi visited the residence of martyred Zakir Musa at Noorpora in Tral area of Pulwama district. He offered condolences with the bereaved family.
