Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, clashes broke out between Indian troops and protesters in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district against a cordon and search operation (CASO) launched by the troops on Tuesday morning.

The operation was launched by the troops in Bongam area of Karimabad village. Immediately after the cordon, a group of youth assembled near the site and staged anti-India protests. The forces used force and fired teargas shells on the protestors triggering clashes. The youth pelted stones on the troops.

However, the CASO was called off in view of stiff resistance offered by the youth.

Personnel of Indian Army, police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force laid a siege around Kehripora village in Soaf Shali area of the district.
