Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has appealed to observe Juma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of Ramadan as “Palestine and Kashmir Day”.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said both Palestine and Kashmiri people have suffered too much since their long subjugation. He appealed whole Muslim world to pray for the free Kashmir and Palestine on the occasion of Friday prayers.

Condemning the despotic and tyrannical methods of governance adopted by the occupation regimes in Palestine and Kashmir, the APHC Chairman said both India and Israel are in close relations to suppress the legitimate and popular voice of the people of both regions.

He urged the world community to shun their silence on the inhuman atrocities, killings in both these regions and help resolve both long pending issues recognized by the United Nations.

He appealed to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to ponder on the present critical political scenario at international level and chalk out an effective strategy to address the challenges faced by the Muslim community at internal and external fronts.

Syed Ali Gilani also condemned the use of brute force at several places of South Kashmir and the ruthless killings of a civilian youth, Sajad Ahmad Parray of Buderhama Shopian at the hands of Indian forces.

Paying rich tributes to the deceased youth, Hurriyat chairman expressed his deep grief and heartiest condolences with the bereaved family.
