Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Kukernag area of Islamabad district.

The troops martyred an engineering student, Faisal Nazir, and another youth during a cordon and search operation in Kokernag area of the district on Tuesday.

Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement issued in Srinagar, paying homage to the martyrs said the people of Kashmir want a peaceful political settlement to the Kashmir dispute for ensuring durable peace in the region.

Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, in a statement in Srinagar said that the Indian authorities were denying the political space and trampling the basic rights of people. This is the basic reason for the appalling situation in the territory.

He also condemned the Indian forces’ brutal action in which dozens of civilians were injured in Sopore and Kulgam areas.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, in a statement said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Meanwhile, the High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the use of bullets, pellets and teargas shelling on civilian population in Kulgam. “This is the worst kind of human rights violation, of which due notice should be taken by the world community. India should also be asked to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people so that peace and tranquility is established in the region,” it said.

The HCBA also condemned the murderous assault on its member, Advocate Saqib Amin Parray, on May 23 by the BJP men, who had blocked the road at Jawahar Nagar. Advocate Saqib Amin Parray was brutally assaulted by the BJP people when he asked them to give him way, causing severe injuries to him.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Political League, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi in a statement also paid tributes to the martyred youth.
