Srinagar, May 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi held in Srinagar with its President, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, in the chair.

The participants of the meeting paid rich tributes to the youth recently martyred by Indian troops. They also paid tributes to Aasiya and Neelofar of Shopian on their martyrdom anniversaries and said their sacrifices would not go waste.

The participants also praised the OIC Secretary General, Dr Yousuf Ahmad Al-Uthaimeen, that the ongoing struggle in Kashmir should not be linked with terrorism. They also urged the international human rights organisations including the United Nations, Asia Watch and Amnesty International to take notice of the continued rights abuses by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

Vice Chairman, Qutb Alam, General Secretary, Jamshed Aadil, Irshad Hussain Shah, Manzoor Ahmad Nazir Ahmad and Dr Ali Muhammad attended the meeting.

Later, a party delegation led by Muhammad Iqbal Mir and comprising Shabbir Ahmad and Sajjad Ahmad visited the residence of martyred Faisal Nazir at Khirbugh in Islamabad district and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
