Impose curfew-like restrictions in Magam and Badgam towns

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have ordered closure of educational institutions in various parts of the Kashmir valley, today, to prevent students’ protests against the rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora district.

An official order said class work shall remain suspended in Srinagar’s SP Higher Secondary School, Islamia Higher Secondary School, MPML Higher Secondary School, Amar Singh College, SP College, Gandhi Memorial College, Islamia College, Degree College Bemina, Women’s College MA Road and Women’s College Nawakadal, today. »

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Shia-Suni Coordination Committee (SSCC) while urging administration to conduct a thorough probe into the rape of a three-year-old girl in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has appealed to the people to end the protests.

The SSCC at a meeting convened by its head, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in Srinagar said that gruesome act was a blot on the entire Kashmiri society and asked the administration to conduct the enquiry on fast-track basis to bring the culprit to book without any delay. Mirwaiz couldn’t attend the meeting due to health problem. »

Islamabad, May 15 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has expressed concern over the brutal atrocities committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

The APHC-AJK at a meeting in Islamabad said that Indian troops were carrying out genocide of the Kashmiri people in planned and sustained manner. The meeting was presided over by the Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani. The participants on the occasion said that New Delhi was employing new tactics to harass the innocent Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has condemned the directive of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) asking students from the occupied territory not to take admission in educational institutes of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The PSAJK Chairman, G N Var, in a statement issued in Srinagar said such directions negate the basic principle of SAARC cooperation, to which both India and Pakistan are signatories. “India is part of SAARC group and all educational institutes in all the countries should be treated at par. One cannot pick and choose educational institutes in a particular region. Today they are barring educational institute in AJK and tomorrow they may bar educational institutes in other countries,” he said. »

Srinagar, May 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a 25-year-old missing girl was found dead in Baramulla district.

The semi-decomposed body of the 25-year-old girl identified as Nazmina Bano was lying in Uri-II Power Project Dam at Salamabad in Uri area of the district. The girl was missing since April 3.

On the other hand, a Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officer identified as Sushil Kumar was found hanging at his residence at Ansal Flat in Sainik Colony in Jammu, police said. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders for lacking political vision and courage to accept the ground realities in Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that creating a war-like atmosphere on flimsy and baseless issues to lure the electorate and grab the political power was a curse and a part of “filthy” politics which had ruined the very ethics of democracy and moral values. He said that irrespective of an absolute majority in the outgoing Parliament, the BJP leaders referred to the sensitive situation in occupied Kashmir as the main stumbling block in the way of abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained resistance leaders in jails and the ongoing arrest spree in south Kashmir.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said the inmates languishing in various Indian jails are mostly political prisoners and entitled to every prisoners’ rights but they are subjected to inhuman treatment by the prison authorities. »
