Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt was questioned for the whole day by India’s National Investigation Agency at its New Delhi headquarters.

Cloudburst struck at Pahroo in Kokernag area of the district on Monday evening killing Arif Ahmad Lone and Sameer Ahmad Lone.

Clashes erupt outside Amar Singh College

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students of Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar held a protest demonstration against the rape of a three-year-old girl in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Scores of MBBS students assembled in the College premises and held a peaceful protest against the brutal act, demanding death penalty to the culprit. “We are protesting against the inhuman act. The culprit who is a mature must be punished as per law,” a protesting undergraduate student said. »

Srinagar, May 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district following a call from transporters over the levying of tax by India on Srinagar-Jammu highway.

Most of the shops and business establishments in Islamabad are closed while the public transport is off the roads.

Transporters are seeking exemption from toll tax for Kashmir’s vehicles at Kai- Chachkoot toll plaza near Awantipora.

So it’s a cauldron in which anything can happen, and a very, very vicious media environment in India, where you have these 24-hour news channels just screaming nationalism, who have no sense of what is factual, what is not, and so on. So it needs to be flipped around. Kashmir needs to become a buffer zone between two nuclear powers, not a flashpoint.”
