Srinagar, May 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has condemned the rape incident of a minor girl in Sumbal, Bandipora and termed it shocking, unfortunate, gruesome and inhuman act.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Gilani Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the incident as a stain on the social, spiritual fabric and rich culture of Kashmir and said the unfortunate and gruesome incident needs a thorough investigations and the culprit should be awarded exemplary punishment. »

Several injured in Indian forces’ brutal action

Srinagar, May 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of the two Kashmiri martyrs in DH Pora and Redwani areas of Kulgam district.

Multiple rounds of funerals were held for Aadil Bashir Wani and Javaid Ahmad Butt to accommodate huge rush of people from Kulgam and adjoining areas. Aadil and Javed were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Hend Sitapora area of Shopian district, yesterday. A group of mujahideen also appeared and participated in the funerals. Bodies of the martyrs were taken to their ancestral graveyards amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

The killing led to complete shutdown in Kulgam for the second consecutive day, today. All business establishments were closed while public transport was off the roads in the district. »

Srinagar, May 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, shutdown is being observed in several parts of Srinagar, today, against the rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of Bandipore district.

Shutdown call was given by the senior Hurriyat leader, Maulana Abbas Ansari. Shops and business establishments are closed in most parts of the city and the skeptical movement of traffic is visible on the roads while many schools in Srinagar are closed. »

Thousands of Kashmiri mothers awaiting sons

Srinagar, May 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Satipora area of the district. The martyred youth were identified as Basharat Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad. Police claimed that Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Khasipora, was a former Special Police Officer, who joined armed struggle in April, last year. The killing triggered clashes between local youth and the forces’ personnel in the area. The authorities snapped Internet services in the southern district. Troops also launched a search operation in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district. »

Srinagar, May 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and other Hurriyat leaders have paid tributes to two Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in Shopian, today.

Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said because of the repressive policies of the Indian government Kashmiris’ fourth generation has been pushed to the wall. The insensitivity of the Indian authorities is the sole reason of the unabated bloodshed even continued in this holy month of Ramadan, he deplored. »
