Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Shakeel Ahmad Ahangar, husband of Neelofar and brother of Aasiya of Shopian, has said that he has now completely lost faith in all institutions of India and the territory and demanded a probe by an independent international agency into the Shopian incident.

On May 29, 2009, Indian troops abducted Aasiya and Neelofar from their orchard, raped and murdered them before throwing their bodies in a shallow stream. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has announced that Juma-tul-Wida – the last Friday of Ramadan – will be observed as Youm-e-Kashmir and Youm-e-Qudus.

A spokesman of the Hurriyat forum, in a statement issued in Srinagar called upon the imams and khateebs to raise voice for the peaceful settlement of the world’s two oldest and lingering disputes – Palestine and Kashmir – on Friday and urge the international community to play its role towards resolving these disputes. »

OIC Contact Group on J&K holds meeting

Jeddah, May 30 (KMS): The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr Yousef Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, expressing deep concern over the grave situation in occupied Kashmir has called for an immediate cessation of Indian oppression and atrocities in the territory.

The OIC Secretary General said this while presiding over the meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir in Jeddah ahead of the 14th Islamic Summit. He urged India to peacefully resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiri people and the UN Security Council Resolutions. »

Indian troops martyr 2 youth in IOK

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir and Palestine Day will be observed, tomorrow, on Friday to impress upon the United Nations and the international community to fulfill their commitment to resolve the two disputes in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the World Body.

Call for observance of the day has been given by Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. A resolution calling for an end to military occupations in Kashmir and Palestine will be presented in all mosques, shrines and imambargahs across the territory. The resolution will call for peaceful settlement of the world’s two oldest and lingering disputes – Palestine and Kashmir and urge the international community to play its role in resolving these disputes. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Sopore town, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search cooperation at Bunpora Mohalla in Dangerpora area of the town. The operation continued till last reports came in.

The occupation authorities suspended internet service and ordered closure of educational institutions in the town.

The martyred were identifies as Nasser Ahmed Mir son of Mohammad Yousuf Mir resident of Brath and Asif Ahmed War son of Ghulam Mohammad War resident of Warpora Sopore.

Meanwhile, body of a BA student, Javaid Iqbal, was recovered under mysterious condition at Chak Bonala in Mendhar area of Poonch district in Jammu region.

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has expressed serious concern over the inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners by the authorities of Kathua Jail in Jammu.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The harassment and inhuman treatment of the detainees belonging to Kashmir valley should be stopped forthwith.” He said Kathua jail authorities are harassing the Kashmiri prisoners in every possible way. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the Indian forces for letting loose a reign of terror against people.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said use of brute force by Indian troops on innocent people has become a routine matter. He said frequent search operations are conducted to display military might and suppress the people.

He said hundreds of common people hailing from Kulgam, Kokernag, Soibugh Budgam, Sopore, Pulwama and other areas have been critically injured, ruthlessly beaten and taken into custody on baseless grounds. »

Srinagar, May 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Kukernag area of Islamabad district.

The troops martyred an engineering student, Faisal Nazir, and another youth during a cordon and search operation in Kokernag area of the district on Tuesday.

Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement issued in Srinagar, paying homage to the martyrs said the people of Kashmir want a peaceful political settlement to the Kashmir dispute for ensuring durable peace in the region. »
