NIA, ED harassing Shabbir Shah’s relatives

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Chadoora area of Badgam district, today.

The youth was killed during a violent cordon and search operation launched jointly by Indian Army’s 53 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group at Bugam in the district. The martyred youth was identified as Hilal Ahmad Butt. The occupation authorities suspended Internet services in Budgam district immediately after the killing.

The Democratic Freedom Party in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian agencies like National Investigating Agency and Enforcement Directorate were harassing the family members and close relatives of DFP’s illegally detained Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah. The party, however, maintained that Shabbir Ahmad Shah’s commitment to the Kashmir cause could not be weakened through such cheap tactics. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that Indian agencies like National Investigating Agency (NIA) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are harassing the family members and close relatives of DFP’s illegally detained Chairman and senior resistance leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah.

The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said these agencies do not even spare the domestic helpers. “These agencies have perhaps decided not to allow the family of Shabbir Shah to live in peace so they tease their relatives, friends and even the family driver one way or the other.” »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference organised a prayer meeting in memory of a 14-year old innocent martyr, Khalid Sharif Mir, on his martyrdom anniversary, today.

Khalid Sharif Mir was martyred by Indian troops in a brazen act of terrorism on June 30, 2009. The meeting was presided over by JK MC Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Dar and was attended by party activists including the father of the martyr, Sharifud Din Mir. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family members of APHC leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, have urged the International Committee of Red Cross to play its role in releasing their house sealed by the Indian authorities on baseless charges seven years ago.

The APHC leader’s family members in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the action of the Indian authorities as the worst example of human rights. They said that India was, perhaps, the only country in the world where a person and his family members are forced to vacate their own house because of political ideology. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a youth was injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in Baramulla district on Sunday evening.

Reports said that unknown gunmen fired upon Sameer Ahmad Ahangar in Old Town area of the district. »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat has paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Budgam, Bijbihara, Tral and other Kashmiri martyrs saying that youth are sacrificing their precious lives for the cause of Islam and freedom.

Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Chairman Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Amid tough times they are fighting with high moral, steadfastness and determination which indeed is a golden chapter in our national resistance history.” »

Srinagar, June 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified gunmen shot at and injured father of a National Conference activist at a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, last night.

A police official said that unidentified gunmen barged into the house of Ali Muhammad Yatoo at his native village Nawnagri Palpora and fired upon him. Yatoo suffered injuries in his leg and was shifted to district hospital Pulwama. »

Draconian laws meant to stifle freedom voices

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has asked the Indian rulers to honour and respect the promises of their leaders with the people of Kashmir to avert a nuclear catastrophe over the long-pending dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said denial of historical facts by India can in no way affect the internationally-recognized disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir, while the people of Jammu and Kashmir have a unanimous stand that the issue should be resolved peacefully, once and for all. He deplored that three generations of occupied Kashmir had lived a suffocated and fear-filled life and now fourth generation was forced to take the same path.

The Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, speaking at a function in Srinagar said that the draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act and Public Safety Act had been imposed to suppress the genuine voices of the people of occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, June 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Ummat-e-Islami organized a blood donation camp in Islamabad town, today, to memorise noted Islamic scholar Dr Qazi Nisar and other Kashmiri martyrs.

More than 50 people donated blood to the full capacity of the blood storage at DH Kulgam. The camp was organized in less than 10 days after Ummat-e-islami organized a blood donation camp in Pulwama. »
