Srinagar, June 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has raised concern over the prolonged illegal detention of its Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associates, Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi.

A DeM spokesperson in a statement in Srinagar said whenever the party leaders are produced before the court, it provides the next date of appearance. She said now when the leaders have completed more than one year under illegal detention, the court has asked them to present themselves on July 16.

“The health of the detained women leaders has been deteriorating and they are in a terrible condition in the jail,” she said.

The spokesperson said the three illegally detained women lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail are away from their children and when the whole Muslim Ummah is preparing for Eid-ul-Fiitr, their kids are living the life of orphans.
