Srinagar, June 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi has said that the authorities are prolonging the illegal detention of party Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, as they have once again not produced him before the court.

A spokesman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar said now the court has fixed June 21 as the next date of hearing. He deplored that the authorities had arrested the party chairman in a false case and now they were prolonging his detention on one pretext or the other.

The spokesman said that the jail authorities were also not providing the party chairman with medical facility due to which his health was deteriorating with each passing day. He said that recently the authorities had slapped draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) one more time on the detained leader.

He appealed to the local and international human rights organizations to take cognizance of the plight of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists including Abdul Samad Inqilabi and help in their release.
