Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Democratic Freedom Party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is already in the custody of Enforcement Directorate, was today arrested by National Investigation Agency.

Shabbir Shah was produced before a special court in New Delhi. An NIA official called Shabbir Shah’s wife in Srinagar and informed her about the development. »

Thousands attend funerals of martyrs in Kulgam

Srinagar, June 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said the best message of Ramadan and Eidul- Fitr is to struggle for liberating the territory from the clutches of forced occupation.

Syed Ali Gilani in his message on the eve of Eidul Fitr asked people to remember in their prayers thousands of Kashmiri martyrs and scores of political leaders and workers languishing in Indian jails for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has quashed detention order of prominent cleric and Vice President of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Mushtaq Ahmad Veeri who was booked under draconian Public Safety Act in March this year.

The court over the past 10 days also quashed detention orders of Tariqad Tantray, Irfan Ashraf Dar and Akhter Rasool Lone, all from Reban Sopore, and Ahmad Dar of Old Town Baramulla. »

Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, intense clashes erupted during a cordon and search operation in Tarigam village of Kulgam district after groups of youth poured into streets and threw rocks on the forces taking part in the operation.

The forces fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesting youth. Several youth were injured in firing by the troops. »

London,  June 04 (KMS): Representatives of International Human Rights Association of America Minorities (IHRAAM), South Asia Centre For Peace and Human Rights (SACFPHR), International Muslim Women Union (IMWU), International Commission for Human Rights (ICHR), Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen (KTK) and Kashmir Youth Assembly (KYA) met in London and agreed to launch an umbrella coalition organisation in the name of Organisation of Kashmir Coalition (OKC).
