Masarrat Aalam sent to NIA custody in Delhi

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while denouncing India’s military approach towards Kashmiri youth has urged the Narendra Modi-led government to resolve the political dispute over Jammu and Kashmir peacefully.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in his Eid sermon at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar made it clear to the new political dispensation in India that the Kashmir dispute was a reality which could not be ignored. He asked Pakistan and India to forget the bitterness of the past and start a new chapter of peace, friendship and well being for the peoples of India, Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, three civilians were injured, one of them critically, after Indian army opened fire on a private car they were travelling in at Drabgam in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Two of the three injured were identified as Waqar Ahsan Mir and Mohammad Rafiq Dar. »

Protesters subjected to force
Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred a Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Panjran area of Pulwama this evening. The operation continued till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, people took to the streets in the area and staged forceful demonstrations against the killing of the youth. Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters. The demonstrations & army operation was going on till last reports came in.

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, with 300 companies of paramilitary forces deployed in the name of Lok Sabha election drama, India is likely to give nod to deployment of 200 more companies now in the name of annual Amarnath Yatra, beginning July 1.

The deployment is being made over the demand of Delhi-led rule over occupied Kashmir by Governor Satyapal Malik. These paramilitary companies will have a big chunk from Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, three civilians were injured, one of them critically, after Indian army opened fire on a private car they were travelling in at Drabgam in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Eid day.

These persons, travelling in a car when passed by an army check post, were showered with bullets by the army men guarding the post. »

Srinagar, June 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt who was shifted from Jammu jail to New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on Monday, has been given into the custody of New Delhi’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) for 10 days.

A JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Masarrat Aalam Butt was presented before Patiala House Court on Tuesday, which sent him into the custody of NIA for 10 days. »
