Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that the delay in the settlement of the Kashmir dispute is wreaking havoc on the lives of innocent people in the territory.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar criticized the international community for turning a deaf ear towards the brazen human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. He also condemned the arrest of illegally detained resistance leader, Masarrat Alam Butt, by National Investigation Agency and the booking of Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Aasiya Andrabi in fresh cases. He urged human rights organizations to play their role in shifting of all the Kashmiri political prisoners back to the Kashmir Valley. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian paratrooper was killed in an ‘accidental’ fire in Mansbal area of Safapora in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Sunday.

A police officer told media that the soldier namely, Taran Kumar, who was attached with army’s 3rd sector headquarters in Mansbal was injured critically after being hit by a bullet while he was cleaning his service rifle inside the camp yesterday. Later, he succumbed to his injuries. »

Jammu, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has warned India against changing the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir by striking down all the constitutional provisions granting special status to the territory.

APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement in Jammu said people of Kashmir, who have been fighting for their inalienable right to self determination for the past seven decades, are ready to fight tooth and nail any move aimed at depriving Kashmiris of their political rights. »

Srinagar, June 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Awami Action Committee (AAC), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the AAC members have paid tributes Molvi Mushtaq Ahmed on his 15th death anniversary.

The AAC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Molvi Mushtaq was a prominent leader of AAC and the member of Mirwaiz family, in whose memory Majlis-e-Quran Khawani was held at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal.

The Acting General Secretary of AAC, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, chaired the Majlis for Esaal-e-Sawab, who on the occasion also highlighted the contributions of Molvi Mushtaq as a dedicated political and social activist. »
