Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits, visiting the Kashmir valley in connection with Meala Kheer Bhawani, called on the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, at his Nigeen residence in Srinagar, today.

A statement issued by the forum after the meeting said that the delegation was led by Satish Kumar and Nathil Razdan who said they were a group of ordinary Kashmiris and were not affiliated with any organisation. Members of the delegation told the Mirwaiz that they and hundreds like them are extremely eager to return to their homeland and sought his help in this regard. »

Thousands attend funerals of martyrs
Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Shopian and Baramulla districts, today.

The troops martyred two youth identified as Shakir Ahmed and Sayaar Ahmed during a cordon and search operation in Awneera area of Shopian district. Two houses were also destroyed in the area. The troops killed another youth during a similar operation at Wadoora in Sopore area of Baramulla. The operation continued in the area till last reports came in. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the mother of the 8-year-old girl who was murdered after being gang-raped in Kathua last year said that justice would have been served if the culprits had been sentenced to death.

The girl’s mother while talking to media persons said, “No, we are not satisfied with the punishment.” The family along with livestock is camping in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on their annual trek to the higher meadows of the district. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association has expressed its dissatisfaction over the sentence passed by a Pathankot court against the culprits involved in kidnapping, drugging, gang-raping and killing of an eight-year-old Muslim girl, Asifa, by Hindu communalists in Kathua area of Jammu.

The High Court Bar Association in a statement issued after a meeting in Srinagar said three culprits deserved a death penalty for having committed a dastardly act but the court has awarded them lenient punishment of life imprisonment for no obvious reason. »
