Srinagar, June 16 (KMS): An Indian police officer, who was wounded in an attack in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on June 12, succumbed at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on Sunday.

The Station House Officer of Sadar police station, was critically injured in an attack that left five Central Reserve Police force (CRPF) personnel dead. »

In the backdrop of Amarnath Yatra, the JRL in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said the warm hospitality of the Kashmiri people is a globally acknowledged fact, and they will continue to adhere to the tradition. The JRL said fake news, twisting of facts and projecting villainous pictures of Kashmiris have been the modus operandi of these news channels. The JRL invited the people of India to come to Kashmir and see for themselves the ultimate form of repression by tens of thousands of Indian forces in the territory. It assured the yatris and tourists to feel secure as there is no threat to their lives and that they can perform their rituals without any worry. »

Srinagar, June 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Muslim Khawateen Markaz (MKM) has said that India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned party Chairperson Yasmeen Raja to its New Delhi office, tomorrow.

A MKM spokesperson in a statement Issued in Srinagar said that the summons was delivered to her through Pampore Police Station. She was directed to appear before the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on Monday at 10:30 am. »

Rafiq Ganaie was arrested from his in-laws house last night on the charge of leading funerals of the Kashmiri martyred youth. A police officer said, “He had led funeral prayers of large number of militants in recent past. He was also instigating people through his speeches.” »

Srinagar, June 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front has expressed concern over the inhuman treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails.

The JKNF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the harassment and inhuman treatment to the detainees belonging to Kashmir valley should be stopped forthwith.

He said the civilised world does not allow targeting the prisoners psychologically. “This targeting includes prolonging the imprisonment of political prisoners by using different methods as well,” he said. »
