Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami has announced programmes to commemorate the 25th martyrdom anniversary of Qazi Nisar Ahmed.
Ummat-e-Islami has called for a complete shutdown in Islamabad town on June 19.
Various religious, social and political organizations have expressed their support to the weekly programmes to pay tributes to Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed and other martyrs of Kashmir including the recently killed youth. Prominent religious clerics and political personalities have also supported the programmes.
On June 18 Fateha Khawani would be held at the martyrs graveyard of Islamabad. On June 19, Quran Khwani would be held. Later on the same day, a rally would be taken out from Idara-e-Tehqiqat-e-Islami towards Dialgam, the place where Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed was martyred.
On June 20, a seminar will be held at Idara-e-Tehqiqat-e-Islami and on June 21, rallies will be taken out from various places in South Kashmir to remember Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed and other martyrs of Kashmir. On the same day, a blood donation camp will be organized in Pulwama’s Kangan area.
The Ummat-e-Islami has asked its cadre and supporters to gear up for the programmes.
