Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Awami Action Committee (AAC), headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, will observe its 56th Founding Day on Thursday (20th June) at its headquarters at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar.

The AAC in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that all members of the organization would be present on the occasion. The meeting will once again reiterate the party’s stand for resolution of the Kashmir dispute through tripartite talks among Pakistan, India and people of Jammu and Kashmir in line with the relevant UN resolutions.

The statement said that the AAC members would pledge to work towards this goal peacefully and also towards promoting amity and friendship between Pakistan and India for peace and prosperity in the entire region as was the dream of its founding President Shaheed-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq.

It said Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will address the gathering where the long journey of the organization, its contribution and the challenges ahead will be discussed.
