Srinagar, June 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two Indian soldiers committed suicide in Kupwara and Baramulla districts, today.

An Indian soldier of 47-Rashtriya Rifles identified as Chhotu Kumar (24) ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle while on duty at Sadau Ganga in Kandi area of the district.

A Border Security Force (BSF) man committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Singhpora area of Pattan in Baramulla district. The BSF man of 70 Bn shot himself while he was on duty at Battalion headquarters this afternoon.

These incidents raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 433 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date.

On the other hand, a member of Village Defence Committee Dheeraj Raj (45), committed suicide after shooting his wife Urmila Devi (42) dead with his service rifle at Bashal Shamthi Kastigarh in Doda district. The Village Defence Committee is an Indian armed group sponsored by Indian army in Jammu region.
