KEG discusses issues confronting media in IOK » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, June 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) was held to discuss various issues confronting the media in Kashmir.

The members resolved to create an atmosphere that will help create a free and independent institution of media in the territory.

The meeting also complimented the efforts of the members to help establish an institution of media that is professional to the core as media in Kashmir has been operating in a testing situation since the past three decades.

The meeting was attended by Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, Editor, Kashmir Images- Bashir Manzar, Editor of Kashmir Life-Masood Hussain, Editor of Chattan-Tahir Mohiuddin, Editor of Uqab-Manzoor Anjum, Printer, Publisher-GK Communications-Rashid Makhdoomi, Editor Aafaaq Ghulam Gilani Qadri, Editor of Tameel Irshad-Raja Mohiuddin, Editor of Kashmir Reader, Haji Hayat Butt, Editor of Nida-i-Mashirq-Haroon Rashid and Editor of Kashmir Vision-Shafat Kira.
