Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has said that if India is serious and prepared to engage with the Kashmiris for a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute then its reflection must be observed on ground.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, today, the JKLF while quoting its vice chairman Saleem Haroon said, on one hand, India was imposing bans on legal political organizations like the JKLF and the Jamaat-e-Islami, while on the other, it was trying to hoodwink the international community by staging an impression of dialogue. He said that India should create conducive atmosphere for any dialogue process by releasing pro-freedom leaders from jails, lifting illegal ban on political organizations, stop killings and shun the talk of conditional dialogue. He added that India must lift ban on peaceful protests and must allow freedom of expression and assembly in the territory. »

India has turned IOK into slaughter house

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today.

The troops martyred the youth, Shabbir Ahmad Malik, during a violent cordon and search operation at Branpathri Kahlil in Tral area of the district. The operation continued when last reports came in.

Meanwhile, people took to the streets near bus stand and in Nagbal area of Tral town and staged demonstrations against the killing of the youth. Indian police and troops fired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuring several of them. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has strongly condemned the raid on residence of senior journalist and Editor of “Daily Afaaq” Ghulam Jeelani Qadri and his subsequent arrest by Indian police.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the action as extremely shocking. He also condemned declaring the veteran journalist a proclaimed offender when the said person as usual performing his daily routine work including his professional duties at his office. He expressed his support and solidarity for senior journalist. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family members of Ali Muhammad Mir, who was tortured and killed by infamous government gunmen known as Ikhwani staged a protest demonstration on his 23rd death anniversary, today, in Press Colony in Srinagar demanding justice.

Ali Muhammad Mir, a resident of Brein Nishat in Srinagar outskirts, was tortured and killed by infamous Ikhwani Papa Kishtiwari and his associates on this day in 1996.

“We have staged this protest demonstration to remind the world of our struggle for much-awaited justice,” Ali Muhammad Mir’s son, Mir Zahoor Ahmed, told reporters. »

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement (JKMM) leader, Abdul Rashid, in Srinagar.

The police arrested the JKMM leader after raiding his house in Tailbal area of Srinagar and shifted him to some unknown place.

A JKMM spokesman in a statement in Srinagar while denouncing the arrest of the party leader urged the world human rights organizations to take notice of the continued Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Srinagar, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a five member delegation of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) led by its Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, called on the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, at his Hyderpora residence in Srinagar.

The JKPM in a statement issued in Srinagar said that during the meeting Syed Ali Gilani told the delegation that India was using the worst tactics to harass the resistance leadership and crush the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle but would never succeed in its nefarious designs. »

‘Coordinated efforts needed to project Kashmir cause at int’l level’

Islamabad, June 26 (KMS): Raja Fahim Kayani, President Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kingdom (Tek UK) during a meeting with the leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter underlined the need to step up coordinated efforts to project the Kashmir dispute in its real perspective at the international level.

A statement issued by the APHC-AJK in Islamabad said that the meeting took place at the chapter’s office in Islamabad. »

Jammu, June 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement (JKFM), Muhammad Sharif Sartaj, has said that India has turned the territory into a slaughter house where bloodshed is being carried out by Indian troops every day.

Muhammad Sharif Sartaj addressing a seminar in Samba area of Jammu region said that the Kashmiris were rendering the sacrifices of their lives for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He deplored that the Indian rulers consider the use of brute force as the only solution to the lingering dispute. »
