‘Plight of political detainees in and outside IOK disturbing, painful’

Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has said that the plight of illegally detained Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in jails in and outside the territory is disturbing and painful not only for their families, but for all the Kashmiris.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, appealed for peaceful protests after Friday prayers, tomorrow, in all parts of Kashmir including Chinab valley and Azad Kashmir to show solidarity with these Kashmiri detainees. He said one fails to understand how the world community affords to give a free hand to India to snatch every right from the Kashmiri people, who have been made hostage to its egoistic and imperialistic oppression. The Indian democracy, he added, is so scared of pro-freedom leaders and activists that it leaves no stone unturned to keep them behind bars on fictitious and false charges propagated through its biased media houses. »
