IOK prisoners being ill-treated in Indian jails

Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities booked the illegally detained Chief Spokesman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar under draconian law, Public Safety Act.

Indian police had arrested Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar on 15th of June 2019 from his residence and lodged him at Shergarhi Police Station in Srinagar. The occupation authorities, today, shifted him to Udhampur jail of Jammu region after invoking PSA against him.

APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani addressing a meeting of Executive Council of Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar, today, strongly condemned the slapping of PSA on Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar. The APHC in a statement issued at the end of the meeting said tall claims of governance and rule of law stand shamefully exposed when a person is rearrested on same grounds within a fortnight. According to the statement, Hakeem Abdul Rashid has been nominated as new APHC spokesman. »

Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai Sehrai has said that illegally detained Kashmiri are being ill treated in Indian jails in a flagrant violation of international and provisions of jail manual.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said this during a visit to the residence of incarcerated Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik at Maisuma in Srinagar, today. He was accompanied by senior party leaders Ashraf Laya and Rafiq Shah. »

Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, three persons including a teenage girl were found dead in mysterious condition in two different areas of Islamabad district, today.

Two youth were found dead in Sherbagh near Jamia Majid Alhidees in Islamabad district on Wednesday. Reports said that bodies of the youth were lying in a graveyard at Sherbagh.

On the other hand, dead body of a teenage girl was found in an orchard in Baapora area of Qazigund in Islamabad district. The girl was identified as Nazia Akhtar (18) of Baapora, Qazigund.

Srinagar, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement Chairperson, Farida Bahenji has said that the youth sacrificing their lives for the Kashmir cause are the assets of the Kashmiri people.

Farida Bahenji in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the martyrdom anniversary of young freedom star, Burhan Wani, would be observed as the day of resistance on July 08. »

Jammu, July 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, communal Indian police arrested four Muslim traders after labeling them as cattle smugglers in Jammu region.

The police intercepted three vehicles at Darhali Bridge in Rajouri district. The police arrested one of the drivers, Rahat Iqbal, while two others fled. The police also took 30 cattle into its possession.

In another incident in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district, the police arrested a truck driver besides taking eight cattle into its custody. »
