Srinagar, July 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi has said that the authorities are deliberately prolonging the illegal detention of its Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, by not producing him before courts on the dates of hearing of the false cases registered against him.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi has been languishing in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

The party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities did not present Samad Inqilabi before court of Third Additional District and Session Judge, Kupwara, on Friday. He said that the party Chairman was not produced before the court of Third Additional District and Session, Srinagar, on July 17 also. He said that now the court has fixed August 05 for hearing the case and directed the jail authorities to ensure the production of Abdul Samad Inqilabi before the court.

The spokesman deplored that the Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Chairman is suffering from various ailments but the authorities are not presenting him before the courts to prolong his illegal detention.

He appealed to the international human rights organizations to intervene and help release all the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists including Abdul Samad Inqilabi.
