Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Nowgam sector of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

A BSF trooper namely SM Ravinder Kumar of 77 Bn shot himself in his head inside his room at a camp in Nowgam, reports said. »

Lawyer denies NIA allegations against Yasin Malik

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has urged India to take concrete steps for permanent resolution of the long-pending Kashmir dispute to save the future of upcoming generations.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Kashmir dispute has consumed more than three generations of Kashmiris and still continues to threaten the existence of yet another generation. He strongly reacted to the threatening statement of Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and said that Kashmir was Himalaya-like reality and such utterances from Indian rulers were not only far from reality but also a sign of highhandedness and arrogance. Addressing the Hurriyat leaders, Rajnath Singh had said that if somebody did not want a solution through talks, then they would know very well how a solution could be found. »

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a five-member delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) called on the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and enquired about his health.

Jammu, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, nearly 500 elderly Village Defence Committee (VDC) members and Special Police Officers (SPOs) in Kishtwar district will be replaced by young and energetic Hindu goons to threaten and harass Muslim population of the Jammu region.

The step is part of a strategy of the Narendra Modi government to crush Muslims of the region especially in the hilly district. The decision was taken despite opposition by even pro-India politicians like former puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. »

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the occupation authorities have invoked black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), for the second time, on Jamaat-e-Islami Spokesman, Advocate Zahid Ali.

The first black law on Advocate Zahid Ali was quashed by a court in Srinagar on 10 July. However, the authorities slapped him with another PSA and shifted him to Kotbhalwal jail, Jammu, from Srinagar. »

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has expressed concern over the arrest of party worker, Khalid Hussain in Kulgam and deteriorating health condition of Sajjad Ahmad Butt at Central Jail in Srinagar.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that Khalid Hussain was a political activist and his activities in no way were criminal or illegal. He said the authorities have turned Kashmir into a military garrison and they allow no one to speak according to his conscious. »

Srinagar, July 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the lawyer of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has denounced the allegations by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) against his client terming them as an exercise to malign the JKLF chief.

The NIA in a so-called report alleged that Muhammad Yasin Malik amassed properties worth millions of rupees through cross-LOC trade and other means. Denying the allegations, Malik’s lawyer Raja Tufail told a media outlet that “They have tried to dig up every evidence and to stick various properties on him, but have failed. You visit his house and you will know.” The lawyer slammed the bid to malign him. »
