Srinagar, July 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said arrogance of power, weather individually or collectively, makes one to lose his wits and cross every moral, human, ethical, democratic and constitutional limit.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar while commenting on the recent remarks of IOK Governor, Satya Pal Malik, said that license to kill corrupt people was a unique and ridiculous option to weed out this menace. “This is unfortunate that a country, claiming to believe in “non-violence” and proudly labeling itself world’s largest democracy, but its official representatives openly encouraging violence only unmasks the real face of proud killers of Gandhi,” he said. »

London, July 23 (KMS): The Kashmiri diaspora leaders and Executive Members of Organisation of Kashmir Coalition (OKC), Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl and Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, have hailed the US President, Donald Trump’s offer to mediate on the long-pending Kashmir dispute.

Prof Shawl and Barrister Tramboo in a joint statement issued in London said that at a press briefing in the White House, along with the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Trump was very categorical that the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, raised the Kashmir mediation issue with him just two weeks back when he met him and that he was happy to “mediate or arbitrate”. »

Indian police arrest many youth in IOK

Srinagar, July 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior resistance leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders have welcomed the offer by US President Donald Trump for mediation between India and Pakistan to resolve the decades old Kashmir dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, the US has to play its role for the freedom of Kashmir. He thanked Pakistan for raising the Kashmir issue saying that it was a long-pending dispute and had consumed more than three generations.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while welcoming the US President’s statement said that being the most affected party, the people of Kashmir wanted an early resolution to the lingering Kashmir conflict. »

Srinagar, July 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, today.

The troops cordoned off Thur area of the district and started searches. The operation was going on when last reports came in.

Meanwhile, dead body of a 40-year-old man namely Nazir Ahmad Butt was recovered from an orchard in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district, today.

Islamabad, July 23 (KMS): Leader of Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Sheikh Dr Hamam Hamoudi has said that Iraq strongly supports Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir dispute and it should be resolved according to aspirations of Kashmiri people in the light of UN Security Council resolutions.

Dr Hamoudi expressed these views during his separate meetings in Islamabad with Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Syed Fakhar Imam, Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee Foreign Affairs, Malik Ehsanullah Tiwana, and leadership of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter. »

Srinagar, July 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has dismissed three separate petitions against detention of three persons including the detention of Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Dr Hameed Fayaz under draconian law, Public Safety Act.

A bench of Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey dismissed the petition of Hameed Fayaz after hearing his counsel Salih Pirzada and the governor-led administration through its senior additional advocate general, Javed Iqbal.

Dr Fayaz had challenged the detention order issued by District Magistrate Budgam on 20 March this year. He is lodged in District Jail, Kathua. »
