New York, July 23 (KMS): The New York-based Kashmir Global Council (KGC) has welcomed the US Present, Donald Trump’s willingness to play role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

The KGC President, Farooq Siddiqi, in a statement issued in New York said, the US President’s remarks for mediation on the Kashmir dispute defy all the tall claims of India that Kashmir is its internal issue.

“Despite the influence, resources and propaganda that India exhausts to prevent the Kashmir dispute from getting internationalized, it has always failed,” he said.

Today the voice and demand of Kashmiri people for freedom did have a carrier through Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, find a favouring echo in return from the White House, he said.

Farooq Siddiqi thanked Imran Khan and Donal Trump for taking cognizance of the Kashmir dispute and highlighting the importance of its resolution for peace in South Asia and in Afghanistan. “We hope that India shows understanding and reciprocates with a constructive response rather than bias and belligerence,” he added.
