Srinagar, July 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested at least twenty one (21) youth in Islamabad and Srinagar areas.

The police arrested as many as twenty youth including two brothers of a prominent freedom activist, Tariq Ahmd Khan, namely Waheed Ahmad Khan and Abid Ahmad Khan. The youth were detained during house raids in Nazuk Mohallah, Kotwal Mohalla, Cheeni Chowk, Lal Chowk, Anzwalla and other areas of the Islamabad district.

Waheed Ahmed Khan, one of Tariq’s brother is the General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami. »

Washington, July 23 (KMS): Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, the Secretary General of Washington-based World Kashmir Awareness Forum, has said the Kashmiri American community has been informed of the deep gratitude felt by the people of Kashmir at the forthright and principle stand taken by President Donald J. Trump for offering his office of mediation to settle the 71 years old Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan.

Dr Fai while reacting to the offer made by Donald Trump in a statement issued in Washington said, President Trump was quoted to have said at the White House on July 22, 2019, during his meeting with Mr. Imran Khan, the Prime Minster of Pakistan, “If I can help, I would love to be a mediator. If I can do anything to help, let me know.” President Trump added, “I heard so much about Kashmir. Such a beautiful name. Such a beautiful part of the world.” »
